Toddler door open

So I just decided tonight to leave his and our door open and see what happens. He hasn’t been sleeping good all week and the longest he has slept by himself was an hour. So I’m expecting him soon to come into my room crying from teething pains. I don’t know if anyone else has done that before and how it went, I’m up multiple times with the baby anyway and he can’t even reach door handles for the other rooms yet and the stair gate is shut 🤷🏻‍♀️

My only concern with doors open while sleeping is fire safety. In the event of a fire, closed doors stop a fire from spreading while open doors create a path for fire to spread across the house

We always leave my daughter's and our door open so if she needs us she can come find us. No stair gate here (she's 2.5)

@Natalie my son is 19 months and hasn’t learned not to go face first down steps yet and the dog also has a annoying habit and needing to go check on him throughout the night if she’s allowed upstairs

Bless him. We had one until she was almost 2. Moved house and have less stairs/much easier to manage steps so realised she didn't need it anymore. They are good for coralling pets
