1-3 is considered a toddler
Never they will forever be our babies even when they are in their 20s and thinking of starting their own families
If you’re in the US—and I don’t want to assume you are— The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), says a toddler is typically defined as a child between the ages of 1 and 3 years old.
Once they can walk they are a toddler

Toddler comes from the word “toddle” so if they’re walking, they’re officially, on paper, a toddler. Most babies walk around 1 so that’s why the AAP says 1-3yrs. Some kids walk at 18-19m which is on the later side. But toddler stops at 3. When 4, no longer a toddler. When he started 4yr kinder he was no longer a toddler to me he was a small child. Like in convo I’ll say my child this or my son that I didn’t say my toddler at 4yrs
@Carly I always thought toddler was until 5, no? X
@Kellie my kid just turned 3.5 on the 12th of this month and I’m counting the days like nobodies business cuz I can’t wait to get out of this “toddler” stage. Bt it’s been a good ride. The last 1-3 yrs he has changed so much & I’m loving it bt when ever I speak to moms with 4 or 5 yr olds they tell me that their isn’t a difference they still “act” like toddlers & I’m trying to state positive cuz I can’t take this anymore lol
I think its just when they start toddling (walking), so it just depends on each individual child
