Yes I actually had a second and now people are asking if there’s going to be a third! I’m like - I just had 2 under 2 people, still on my second mat leave. Chill tf out.
I don’t think anyone means anything malicious by it but it’s incredibly invasive and can be really upsetting. We lost our third baby and immediately had 'Well you know you can do it anyway so just try again' and lots of equally insensitive comments. It’s inappropriate, nobody knows what anyone’s going through. I have a few friends struggling with secondary infertility and they’d love nothing more than to announce another pregnancy and it’s a gut punch every month when it doesn’t happen. Even those that just don’t want another baby, it can be uncomfortable to keep reiterating that point. It’s nobody’s business x
I have 3 and still get asked...people just say anything usually without thinking. Worth coming up with a stock response so you don't waste any brain energy on nonsense questions 😊
People used to ask me if and when I'd be having a second one, when I was still pregnant with my first 🙃 I don't think it comes from a malicious place, but that doesn't make it acceptable, and it used to really irritate me. I really don't understand how people can find it so hard minding their own business (family included!) X
See I wouldn't get annoyed about it, they are maybe just wanting something happy in their lifes again or an excuse to buy gifts I have been trying and unfortunately lost 2 pregnancies in 11 months, I'd say we don't have anything planned but if it happens it happens in the time frame it's meant to happen
