I was exactly the same before I gave birth. I was off on maternity for 6 weeks before my due date at the end of January due to holiday around Christmas and time off in lieu to use up. First couple of weeks were fine but then I got so bored, especially since I had PGP and couldn’t really walk about or get out of the house that much. It’s tough, but you’ve got this! Make sure you have a comfy pregnancy pillow and get yourself as much sleep as you want. I was sleeping pretty much the whole time. Don’t let anyone make you feel guilty for sleeping all day. As for the injections, can you do them in your thigh instead?
1. Sleep when your baby sleeps: Rest is crucial for physical and mental recovery. 2. Prioritize your physical health*: Focus on nutritious food, hydration, and gentle exercise. 3. Take breaks: Ask for help when you need it, and take time for yourself.
I’m 37+1 and I also have to do the blood thinning injections twice a day and it’s also getting harder and harder to do it. Also struggling with motivation … Feel free to message me if you want to chat.
Sleeeeeep. These are the last weeks where you will have the opportunity to sleep round the clock for literally like the rest of your life lol. After that baby comes, you’re on their schedule. Rest, self care, movement is medicine, real food is medicine. Lay in the sunshine if you can. Put your bare feet on the earth.
My friend told me "look you are a potato at the end...just be potato, don't fight it...just potato" and honestly, she was right. Eat, sleep, read, do easy hobbies, watch netflix...baby will be here soon enough, i promise!
Thanks ladies, your comments and kind words have helped. ❤️
Guess have found my safe space😩😩been at home since start of February and also on thinners and was asked not to go back to work. It’s really been a quiet maternity leave😩😩😩lol yes for the thinners you can try your laps. That’s where all my injections have gone so far and it has been good.
I completely get you! I haven’t worked since mid December and my due date is next week. Absolutely no sign of baby coming anytime soon either 😭 I’ve cleaned the house so many times there’s nothing left to do, I have no washing left to do, it is literally a waiting game so now I’ve decided I’ll just be lazy, play on the PlayStation and watch TikTok haha. It is so boring but it’ll absolutely be worth it ❤️
Thr blood thinners are awful you do know you can do the tops of your legs ? I was on them from 4 weeks with my first then he was born at 35 via emergency c section so had to do them after for 6 weeks fast forward I’m now 26 weeks pregnant snd been doing them since 2 weeks. Ooo thr other tip i use an ice pack to help prevent bruising n take rhe edge of rhe pain Xxx
But deffo sleep if that’s what your body is telling you. I regret not sleeping more with my first. Second time around my 15 month old dosnt let me sit still xx
@Amey thanks I will definitely try this as am starting to feel very bruised!!
Are you on clexane or fragmin? Xx
Be strong and courageous dear
