Anyone get a BFP very late?

I'm 6 days late for my period with negative tests. Should I just assume I've missed a period and not pregnant. I've never missed one before. But I don't have any symptoms and it's stressing me out. Did anyone get a BFP after being 6 days late?

You may have ovulated later than you thought? X

You would only get a late positive if you ovulated much later than you think. (And even then it’s not technically a late positive, it’s just later than you were expecting).

@Amy some people get a positive before 4 weeks and some people get a positive 6 weeks. So you can get a late positive

You can’t get a late positive unless you ovulate late. It’s not scientifically possible

@Amy sorry but you're wrong. People get positive results at different times during their pregnancy it depends on HCG levels and each person is different.

You don’t need to be sorry, I know I’m not wrong. We’ll agree to disagree.

@Amy please don't spread misinformation it's not scientifically impossible to get a positive later then other people....

I suggest you do some research and reading around ovulation and pregnancy to educate yourself. I also did not say you can’t get a positive later than other people…? Not sure where you’re getting this from. Luteal phases do not tend to go over 16 days in length, whereas follicular phases can vary in length. If you know EXACTLY when you ovulated (by tracking BBT or having a blood test) then you can be certain that if you’re pregnant you’ll get a positive by 16DPO. This is around 4 weeks pregnant for most people. If you’re getting a positive at 5 or 6 weeks it means you ovulated later in your cycle. It’s really not that difficult to get your head around.
