Combined pill vs mini pill
Has anyone tried both ? Which do you prefer and why ?
I’ve been on the combined pill for a long time with breaks here and there , when taking breaks for a few months my moods are better and my blood pressure is lower but I need to go back on to contraception wondering if the mini pill would be any better for me .

Ive been on both! Im currently on the mini pill after having my LO Was on the mini one for like a year before trying for a bab too And i do prefer the mini to the combined one! The combined pill personally made my mental health worse But on the mini one, ive had no issues at all! I do still get a period on the mini pill but its not been too bad
@Courtney how does it work in terms of periods with combined you have a break and your period comes , with the mini pill do you just take it continuously? X
Yeah🥰 They both have the days written on them too so you know if you've taken it that day! Works better for me because mum brain haha

Mini pill is just progesterone, rather than a combined oestrogen and progesterone. I can’t take oestrogen it sends me crazy, I did better on the mini pill but it basically gave me akin to morning sickness. It’s really down to individual tolerances. When I need to think about it again I think I’ll be getting a coil fitted as I don’t want any more hormones.
