tips for combination feeding ? 🍼

i’m 26 week and leaking, when time is right i will collect colostrum and freeze it. hoping to be able to breast feed baby straight away but also use formula, only sometimes - if i have sore boobs, family / friends feeling or out and about ? happy to express (hopefully have a frozen stock) and bottle feed but when should i introduce the formula ? only at night ? only in the day ? should we have a routine of breast and formula ? or does it not really matter as long as baby is happy and fed ? originally wanted to exclusively breast feed but for personal reasons i’ve changed my mind a little.

Hi girl! I was combo feeding for about a week or two until i got my supply up. During the day i would latch baby on boob and I would pump in between feeds to help my supply also to have some milk aside for night feeds. Also i would pump around 3am and hubby will feed it to her in bottle. The goal is to fully breastmilk feed. My baby is now 4 weeks and only breastmilk fed. Try to avoid introducing formula but you likely will have to for a week or two

I now have a freezer stash! First two months are hard because you are stablishinh your supply it is certainly draining! But dont give up make sure to latch or pump every 2-3 hours!!

@Noelle thank you for the advice ! x
