Breast milk vs formula bottle fed
Hi,
My baby is bottle fed using formula and breast milk.
When he has formula he settles and sleeps straight after. We give him the same oz’a using breast milk and he doesn’t seem satisfied.
Any one know why this might be?

@Nicola thank you! I did suspect this but I wasn’t 100% sure! Really sucks as I’d only be able to do 1 bottle of breast a day with the amount I get! But fed is best and I have a huge stash of colostrum to help with the benefits of it
@Nicole this was exactly the same as me! It would take me about 3 pumping sessions to get enough for one bottle so I ended giving up quicker than I expected. As I've now got my second little one to look after I haven't even attempted to pump this time as I just couldn't put myself through it again

Formula fills them up more than breast milk so they need more breast milk to compensate. This is what we found with my first, when he was having 4-5oz of formula he would need about 9oz of expressed breast milk to be just as full.. he was a hungry boy though 😂
