Sleeping

How do people put theirs babies to sleep? E.g. milk at 6 bed at 7, feed to sleep, feed and self soothe? My daughter is not liking anything we are trying at the moment and she is getting very distressed when it’s coming to bedtime

Bedtime varies can be anywhere between 830-930/10 if he’s really fighting it but we have dinner, bath (if he’s having one), breastfeed, book or 3, then he lays in his toddler bed or in our bed and we sing him to sleep. Prior to this we rocked him to sleep but one day it just started to irritate him and he asked to lay down instead x

Home from nursery at 4:30pm 4:30-6:30pm - playtime 6:30pm - dinner 7pm - bath 7:25pm - Milk 7:30pm - Asleep (till around 6 or 6:30am the next morning) We’ve had that solid routine from 11 or 12 months onwards and it works really well for us

How do you put them to sleep? Cradle them or just put them in there for and walk out?

We normally aim for a half 7-half 8 bedtime. Our boy use to rely on us rocking him, but as he got heavier that was no longer an option. After dinner, we give him a bath, then bottle and bed. We chose to lay next to him till he fell asleep and now we’re slowly doing it so we’ll spend a shorter amount of time laying next to him and seeing if he can self soothe. We’ve had 2 good nights where we’ve laid next to him for about 10 minutes and then say night night and he’s got himself off to sleep without being distressed in any way x

We do dinner together 5:30/6:00, bath every night 6:30 ish then abit of play time upstairs/reading a book, milk and put into his cot awake 7:00/7:15 and sleep till 7am.

Bath From 6 Bottle Bit of calm playing upstairs Bed by 7 (anywhere from 6:45 to 7) Sleep bag on, white noise on. kisses and cuddles and then in the cot and left to fall asleep. Sleeps till 7am. Might have the odd stir if she loses her dummy but that’s it x

We used to have to lay next to her until she was fast asleep however we have recently done sleep training. Now dinner at 5:30/6 depending on what time we get home. Abit of play/or bath Books while having her milk Quick cuddle and kiss and walk out. She is asleep within minutes. We used the fever method ans she adapted within 3 days and have not looked back since.
