Vitamin k injection

My midwife said we will be doing my birth plan at my next appointment, so I’ve been researching and come across the vitamin K injection they give baby after birth. I think I’ll be going ahead with them giving this to the baby, as from what I’ve read there doesn’t seem to be any negatives But I just wanted to know other people’s opinions on this, is it necessary? Do you plan on letting them give it to baby or not? Also any other advice on things I can look into for my birth plan would be amazing🙂

I’m doing it. Positives far outweigh any negatives in my opinion.

Planning to too

Yeah definitely ☺️

We did it with our first and our second will be having it also 😊

I’m defo doing it too ❤️

Yep having it too 😊

I'm planning on injections over drops. Drops they might not take. Worth noting that if there is a tongue tie they won't treat it without vitamin k as the risk of bleeding is not worth taking

Definitely having the injection

The main concern is if the shot contains aluminium, as this can be linked to autism, but I checked with my hospital and the one they use doesn’t have aluminium so will definitely be doing it.😊
