No colostrum!?

I’m 38+5 and really struggling to get much ! Literally only few drops and l tried for an hour yesterday - it’s very frustrating. I think it’s important to take the pressure off a bit as even with the right techniques - hot shower, massage, being relaxed etc it doesn’t always work for all women. I have even followed videos, and advice from others but sometimes it’s just accepting your body is different and will do things in its own time. My midwife said it can be quite common sometimes to have difficulty with colostrum harvesting but not to worry as this won’t affect when the milk supply comes in.

Hey hun, I haven’t managed to get any and I’m 37 +. My friend is due today and she hasn’t managed either. Typically milk comes in after baby is born (from what I’ve heard), so try not too worry too much. X

Yeah I'm the same, had a few drops and it hurts a bit to even get that. I think that in itself stresses me out. I'm not getting anything like the amount to be able to get it into a syringe

Some people just can’t get colostrum! I never could with my last baby, and struggling again this time too. My milk still came in on day 3 with my first born so it doesn’t affect that. Try and keep it low pressure. A warm bath/hot shower before, do it while you’re relaxed/releasing oxytocin 😊 if you don’t get any, try not to worry!

I'm 38+4 also and have tried already at least 5 times. Always a warm shower or bath before, low light, calming music etc. But there just isn't anything. So feel like I'm just in that category of people who couldn't collect any before.
