How are your littles doing at the park/ playground?

My daughter will be 19 months old in 4 days. She is truly so sweet, saying “hi”, or trying to follow/ play with other baby-toddlers. The other babies her age usually ignore her or run away 😭. I completely understand they are all learning, but it definitely breaks my heart a little. I’m a SAHM who just moved to a new area, so I’m hoping I’ll make friends for her soon 🥹

My son just does his own thing at the park, he’s actually the kid that ignores if a kid tries to interact but for the most part, all the other kids are doing their own thing too. Doesn’t really bother me cuz he’s gonna have plenty of time to make friends once he starts preschool

@stephanie aw yeah every kid is different. I’m not sending her to school until she’s 5, so we have a little ways before making school friends.

My daughter is the same way she is so so sweet and sociable! I don't know where she gets it from I'm so introverted lmao

@Jen haha I love that!! :)

Mine is the same way but the parks near us are usually older kids who aren’t interested in playing w a baby

Hey @Angel I see we live in the same city! My daughter is 20 months. Interested in trying for a playdate at a park and see how our littlest do together?

Awww that’s my baby too! He’s always trying to get the attention of other toddlers but they don’t seem to care 😓.

@Rio Hi Rio! Absolutely, that would be great! ☺️

when i take my son to the park it takes a while for him to warm up if there are other kids there. he wants me to hold his hand go in the play area which i dont mind at all. Once he warms up he starts to be more independent and also watches other kids play but hardley interacts other than a hi

@Kaori omg yes, my daughter needs a warm up/ hand hold for the first 5 minutes too! Honestly sometimes the park is overwhelming for me too lol! A little “hi” is huge! 🤗
