@Cierra baby led weaning. Basically, rather than starting with purees and other "baby foods", you can start giving them finger foods.
I’ve thought about doing that
My girl is 6 mo and she's not doing great with purées. she doesn't really open her mouth for food, even when she self "feeds."

Did she like this? I gave my baby eggs, yogurt with raspberries and toast, and she liked everything but the eggs.
@Liz keep trying. The first time she had egg she absolutely hated it but now she loves it.

Just in case you don’t know, you shouldn’t put silicone in the dishwasher. It will make the silicone smell/taste like dish soap. In didn’t invite until I ate something off my sons plate and it tasted like dishwasher detergent 🤢 I try BLW with certain foods but my daughter gets mad bc she can’t get a good bite and she acts so hungry 😂 How are you preparing veggies? I get annoyed to sit there and boil water for only 2 pieces of veggies.
Does your baby have teeth yet? How do you start blw without the anxiety of them choking?
I was discouraged at first but now she feeds herself and hates when I touch her food to feed her
@Lillie baby’s gums are pretty strong. But food is also softer than you think.
@Lillie they are gonna gag regardless. And that’s why it’s required to know cpr if you’re gonna go blw. Also u don’t need teeth because the food u give isn’t suppose to be hard. My girl is all gums and she ate oxtail and chicken like it was nth

@Lillie nope, no teeth. I was kind of nervous at first but the Solid Starts app + watching videos on TikTok definitely encouraged me to move forward with it.
@Jody hahaha ok I can’t wait to let her try some meats, she’s already so greedy + she’s half African and I’m from New Orleans so she’s very eager to eat real and flavorful food 😂
