It's something that helped a ton when I was freshly postpartum. Too anxious to fall asleep, up every other hour breastfeeding when I did manage to sleep, and wracked with anxiety while I was waiting for my medication to kick it. Comfort shows feel like visiting with old friends in a way. Otherwise, I don't do TV before bed. I prefer crossword puzzles these days and trying to maintain good "sleep hygiene"

I used to watch DVD's of Friends, I'd literally binge watch every night before bed. I'd have a short break by watching Sabrina the Teenage Witch, then BeWitched. Then, I'd watch Friends again😅 This was single life though.

Before I had the baby I could not fall asleep without listening to an audio book/film etc. Now I don't have that problem as I'm always listening that the baby is OK x

Every. Single. Night 😂 For 3 years it was The big bang theory, then it moved onto Friends, now it's 'Dead to me'. Even if for some reason I wake up in the night I'll pop it back on

Watch more YouTube than tv - only see the toddler programmes my child watches on tv / Netflix -tend to listen to sleep stories or use my hallo app while I nod off

Love after lock up right now 🤣

I had a conversation with my psychiatrist about this years ago. I get stuck on a show (and usually a specific episode) that I have to watch before bed every night. I thought I was crazy but I guess there’s psych reasoning to it?? It’s calming when you know how something is going to play out and you don’t have to pay attention. I also choose episodes of shows that everything is going well (I.e., an episode of 90 day fiance where everyone is getting along). Apparently that helps ease anxiety as well
