Eczema

After many trips to the GP I've been told my toddler has eczema. It's only on his cheeks. Red and inflamed. Despite using a steroid and other emollients the eczema still hasn't cleared up. Does anyone have any other recommendations that I can try please

No advice but just wanted to tell you you you’re not alone, my lo has it allll over his back, and also arms at the moment along with a mass of dribble rash that I just cannot control. A lady suggested hemp seed oil to me I’ve got some to try after we finish a week of the cream we’re currently testing! X

Mine suddenly developed eczema over last few months, we used to bath him every night as part of his routine but we stopped and bath him every two days, eczema has cleared up.. we tired those creams and prescription ones too but the limited baths seemed to have helped xx

Agree with not bathing every day. La Roche posay baby lipikar cream has been great for us plus taking vitamin D drops everyday

We have oilatum for bath time or e45 bath if it’s not too bad so she can have bubbles. It’s really expensive but Zoebee charcoal and oat is really good for eczema too

It might take time for the emollient to be effective and it can take a while to find the right one. The steroid cream should work within a week. Give your little one pirition and you may eventually find what can cause it. We recently found out fresh tomatoes cause my little ones to flare up
