What do you *do* with your LO to fill a day?

Sounds daft maybe but I'm at home all day every day with 17mo, (I work evenings) and sometimes I just don't know what to do? He's very much a LET ME BE ACTIVE child, though he does love his books.

With the weather turning I'm a little anxious about how to entertain him everyday!

He's still big into mourning so crafts / drawing / sticker books are out still.

I feel like pinterest and Instagram activities make it look like he should be doing so many specific activities but he isn't which worries me.

Everyday we read loads of books, he watches me do household stuff, we go to a few toddler classes, the library. We go for walks when we can, mooch around shops.

He isn't interested in toys!
We have shape sorted, fisher price farm, stacking cups, ball pit, all the recommended things for this age but it's not his jam!

We do allow a brief Teletubbies episode everyday so I can get dinner cooked / do a handover to Daddy when he finishes work.

Living in a small city on a tight budget doesn't help! Sometimes I feel bad we don't do more!

It also makes me worried his language isn't coming on - he understands well but doesn't speak much (shouts AAA at everything basically) so I feel guilty he doesn't go to nursery and have more exposure to others his age! Which is daft because I know so so many people would love my set up being at home during the day with him!

Ok this was a longer less structured ramble than I intended sorry!

Hot wheels

My kid has just started really loving hot wheels. Are there certain tracks that your kids love? Should I just get a bunch of straights? Is there tracks I should avoid? Any nice tracks that are fairly small that work with most cars? (Some of the tracks I have with loops don’t work with all cars)

Best toys for travel / going out to restaurants

What are your toddlers favourite toys when you go out? Need some more ideas as my child gets bored so easily (2 years old) 😅

What are we doing with our toddlers during the day?

Do you spend most of the day going out of the house and doing formal activities (like museums or zoos), semi-structured activities at home where you’re actively interacting most of the time , Or mostly let them play independently?

Clubs for a 2 year old

Is anyone’s 2 year old attending any clubs? I’m keen to get my little one into a club on the weekend to keep him busy and hopefully burn a little more energy 🤪I just wondered what kind of clubs might be suitable for a 2 year old.

Travel with 4 mo old?

Hi all, I’m pregnant currently and due Feb 21st.
I want to plan a trip with my baby boy and husband during my maternity leave (5 months). Have you guys done this when baby was so young? If so international or domestic??

Do you set up sensory activities/tuff trays when you're at home?

I don't and I feel bad about it. I'm a sahm and we usually go to 3 playgroups a week where they have various sensory stations. But I never know what to make at home.

Spicy Content

I'm watching this new series with these moms that started doing adult content; feet pics, kink requests, nudity, selling underwear, etc. They also have other moms that aren't in their "group" that do content and I just didn't realize it was so popular. Does anyone on here/know of anyone that does adult content?? No judgment from me, pure curiosity!

Limb difference Toys

My son has a limb difference where his fingers are shorter on one hand than the other, his hand is also smaller than the other, I’ve been having trouble trying to find toys that fit in his hand so he can explore his grip and how to hold things, I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions? I really want to help with his development aswell as encouraging him to use that hand as much as he can. He’s 4 months old.
