How long did baby sleep in your room?

My little one is only just 4 months but is rolling and already pretty much grown out of his next to me crib in size! I am an anxious mum and a stickler for following safety guidelines so we are going to dismantle and rebuild his big cot in our bedroom. Obviously that's a big of a faff for just 2 months but the more I think about it the more I can't even think about him moving into his own bedroom anytime soon... It feels so wrong to me to just stick my infant in his own bedroom? 😂 But obviously I know it needs to happen at some point so I'm just curious to see when other parents did the transition whether earlier or later?

Stains

Moms, what actually works for getting stains out of your kids’ clothes? 😅 I’m dealing with grease marks and all the random toddler stains. What products do you swear by, and do you pretreat, soak, or just throw everything in the wash?

Naps at nursery

My little boy will be 10 months old when he starts nursery, he currently needs holding/cuddling to fall asleep then I can place him down in his cot to nap once’s he’s fell asleep. He won’t settle on his own it just results in him screaming crying. But I’m worried about when he starts nursery, will the staff there do the same at nap time or will he expected to self settle himself to sleep?

Why are people posting pics of blood abd mucus plugs without the sensitive content warning??? Not everyone has the stomach to see that, there's first time moms on here who don't need to see it like have some consideration for others??

Night time

Hey moms I’m a new momma my daughter is 3 days old she’s cried most all night she’s been a great behaved baby but at night she cries and cries she’s been fed clean diaper I try to sooth her and I feel just mentally exhausted any advice on newborns who cry at night and tips for feeling overwhelmed being a new mom

My boy has his first round of vaccinations today. How did people prep for it? Some HV & docs say to give calpol 30 mins before the appointment but some say don’t….. what did you do?

What next to sleep in?

Hi ladies, any advice on what items to buy next for babies to sleep in once they have outgrown next to me / Bedside cot? Our baby has always slept in a Joie travel cot (basically a next to me) but seems to either have outgrown it or just taken a dislike to it recently perhaps due to it being confined (she loves sleeping in bed with us it seems!). Any advice on sizing up now?

Not peeing at night

My son is almost 3 months old and isn't peeing at night. He slept 5 and a half hours and barely had a wet diaper. He pees normally during the day, just worried about nights.

Sleepy baby

My 6 week old is very sleepy (and has been since birth). She has periods of being very alert during the day, but once I put her down for the night at 7pm I struggle to wake her for longer than a 5 minute feed until 7am despite the usual methods (nappy change, wet wipe, taking off a layer). I always try to wake her to feed after 4 hours, otherwise I expect she may sleep for a very long stretch without eating. She is gaining weight but went down a bit in percentile the last two weeks (from 42% to 33%). Does anyone else have this experience and any advice? I am obviously very lucky she is a good sleeper but I am also focused on ensuring she eats enough which is challenging if she is in deep sleep for 12 hours a day!

To swaddle or not to swaddle that is the question!
I swaddled my 2nd (11 years ago) but im now hearing that swaddling isnt that great for them and it might be outdated advice.
Its to do with us missing their hunger queues and actually being able to be more free and not actually mimick the womb?? any opinions? i was all for swaddling but not sure now??

When did sleep regression hit?

My baby is 4.5 months and his sleep hasn’t really changed for the last month or so. He has one long stint around 7/8pm to 10.30/11.30 and then 1.5/2 hour wakings until 5/6am when we start our day. This doesn’t sound like his cicadian rhythm coming in but he turns 5 months soon.

Has anyone else baby’s sleep pattern not changed or changed later?

He’s never “slept through” and I’m running in so much sleep debt that I have no idea how I’m going to cope with the 4 month regression. I breastfeed him to sleep and he hates bottles so my partner can’t help

Breastfed and sleeping through the night.

Does anyone’s breastfed baby sleep all the way through the night like 7pm till 7am?

If so how ?! Is it even possible?

Reflux and stopping breathing

Baby is 6 weeks and since birth gets bad reflux
Horrendous at night time
A few weeks back, laid her down and stuff came out her nose and she stopped breathing had to call 999. She was fine
This morning she has stopped breathing again, same thing happened with stuff come out of her nose (like milk) but not as bad to call 999 but she struggled to breathe
Its happened a few times and after the episode she is lethargic and no energy and conks out.
All obs and tests are normal
Anyone experienced this with reflux?

How are our 8 months olds sleeping?

I wanted to ask this as this is my second boy but he is completely opposite to my first!

We co-slept up until a month ago and he’s now sleeping in his cot every nap and at bedtime, however his sleep just feels all over the place!

He has two naps a day but they only last around 30/45 mins (I’ve tried everything to stretch them but think he’s not much a day sleeper) and I always make sure he goes to bed around 4 hours after his last nap and he will sleep for around 4/5 hours and wake for a feed (I still feed to sleep) and then wakes again every 2 hours until 6am wake up. But some nights he can wake hourly after the first feed in the middle of the night.

Is everyone else’s baby’s sleep different every night? Still waking 2/3 or sometimes 4 times in the night? 😅

Is the feeding to sleep maybe the issue?

Move from breastfeeding to formula

Hello, I’ve recently had to stop breastfeeding and move my 10 week old to formula.

I’m not really sure how much I should be giving at this age and how often. Please can you give me an idea on what your 2 month olds are having please.
