Growing a human is no joke: the hormones, the sickness, the baby names. Peanut is here to share real stories from real women and expert advice to support you.
I'm originally from Germany, my husband is Romanian. I really want a name that works in all of our countries and our favourite so far is Theodore. But after looking it up I realised it's massively popular in the UK and that has taken me back a bit. I've got two older kids and in their school I have never heard of a ...
Current 17+1 and been hit with the worst bug ever!! Anyone else in the same boat?
Baby girl was born 28th May and I found out yesterday that we are expecting again! (100% not planned) but I had a category 2 emcs after a failed induction. I’ve been on the phone to the early pregnancy clinic, because I’ve also experienced an ectopic pregnancy in the past and booked an early scan for 2nd Jan 2025. I...
Mild to moderate cramping/tightening around belly, dull aches in lower back and tops of legs. Some cramps making me feel nauseous. No water breakage yet. Baby feels very prominent out front of belly. Keeping an eye on it, could be a false alarm.
What did it feel like when your cervix was beginning to dilate?
I went for my 34 week midwife appointment a few days ago and she said they now try to induce at 41 weeks? Is this true or even normal? I had a date booked for 41 and 6 days with my first but thankfully she came before then I always thought it wasn’t necessary unless medical complications/conditions or over 42 weeks
Can anyone give me some advice or anything on induction? Second baby I’m 2cm already but I would like to go in there with some knowledge 🥲
Omg he has chunked up so much 😂
Anyone else just struggling with every day things - I’m waddling around I’m all puffy and swollen, out of breath quickly, everything is honestly just exhausting and I’m only 33 weeks.
I’m 31+2 weeks pregnant, but went into pre term labour at 23+4 weeks with my firstborn. Baby is now head down. 1st photo is from a week ago, and second is from today.
Born 18th Dec at 37 weeks. Just had 2 days of phototherapy to target his jaundice levels but otherwise healthy 😊
Hey girls, did any of you buy your midwife or any staff a present? If so, what was it? I need some ideas ✨❤️
I’ve just received my appointments on badger notes. I have my 12 week scan and bloods and then the next week I have a midwife led appointment at the hospital which I’m unsure of. Anyone know what this is for so I don’t make myself look silly when ringing haha?
Nausea and no appetite have me in a chokehold right now, no food is appealing to me and even if it was it makes me want to throw up even thinking about it I feel like eating would make me feel less nauseous but eating makes me feel like i want to throw up so how do i get out of this viscous cycle? 😭
Just looking for advice or similar experiences. I had an emergency c section in January 2024 due to a failed induction and my body not progressing in labour. I am currently 3 months pregnant with second baby due in June 2025. They've given me the option of VBAC or elective. I had my mind set on elective because my ...
