How long does OHsS last?

My EC was a week ago and had no hormones since trigger. It’s mild to moderate but still so bloated especially in the evening (morning is totally fine) with nausea and slight short of breathe. Doesn’t feel better at all. Help?

You poor thing, I’ve just got over mild OHSS. Firstly have you contracted your clinic about the shortness of breath as that really needs to monitored. Mine hit the peak about 7 days after trigger and I had to go in for a scan. My right ovary was measuring 8cm and it should have been about 3cm. I’ve just started the withdrawal bleed today on day 10 after EC and feeling a lot better. Clinic have called me daily to keep an eye on things. If you’re feeling worse please make sure you tell them or go to your local hospital if the clinic aren’t open. 💞

I suffered with OHSS for about 5/6 days after egg collection. I didn’t know I had it until the day of egg collection. The surgeon came round after and said we had to freeze all because I had fluid in my stomach. I was bloated for 2/3 days and had quite painful stomach cramps and nausea (ginger biscuits was my best friend) but by day 4 it got better. I was put back on fyramedel and Clexane injections and Cabergoline tablets for 5 days. I actually ended up in a&e last Saturday (3days post EC) as I ended up passing out and smashing my head on the floor and because of the blood thinning injections I had to go get it checked out, luckily was all ok! I’m now a week later and feel back to normal but also started bleeding yesterday and that’s meant to help it go away! Hope you feel better soon! Maybe worth a call to the clinic to get checked
