@Seanin damn :( I’m formula feeding unfortunately
Happened to my little one around the same time. It also appeared on her ears, neck, upper back, and scalp area. I used breast milk on her face, hair, and body twice a day. I also cleaned her face 2-3x a daily with the Mustela no rinse cleaning water and applied the tubby tod ointment afterwards. Her skin cleared up completely in less than a week.
If you know someone who is breastfeeding could you ask for a bag of expressed milk.. put it into a freezer bag and break of and defrost what you need. I did this for a friend who was formula feeding and really helped her baby's acne. X
It may be baby’s diet! You might want to look into the ingredients in your formula and switching to something like Bobbie or Bubs. It could also be related to baby wash/lotion or your baby detergent - always best to do fragrance free on all baby products and detergent, even if it claims to be baby safe because fragrance is very bad for babies and often causes skin irritation, breathing issues, and a host of other problems. Dr Bronner’s Castile soap for babies (Target) is great, and MamaSuds powder newborn detergent is wonderful - my baby’s skin has been perfect since switching to these!
@Anna I’ve switched formula 4 times already and finally found one that works for her tummy so really don’t want to change that again but I’ll definitely look into those soaps and detergents thank you!
@Megan thank you, I’m not breastfeeding but I’ll look into the ointment thank you
@Seanin I don’t know anyone :( I might just ask my GP if they have any ideas to help
@Sarah I know the struggle! I went through switching many times. Similac and Enfamil ended up having toxic ingredients, Kendamil was good at first but then constipated…I ended up with Bubs Goat Milk formula and finally was able to clear baby’s skin up! It’s so hard to find the products that work for each baby! Hope you find your answer - Aldi also has some nice fragrance free baby lotion. Forgot to mention that one!
@Anna it’s horrible isn’t it! I was feeling terrible cuz she was soooo gassy on some formulas and others made her constipated and caused her so much pain :( I’m glad she’s finally on one that works for her, I’ve never seen her so happy and active. Will definitely check Aldi thanks!
It's your hormones leaving her system. It's normal.
@Raina okay cool thank you
Nipple milk worked wonders on my daughters face
Baby acne is very common and nothing to worry about. They have special soaps for it that you can use. :-)
@Melody great! Thanks so much :) I’m glad to know it’s normal
