Childminder fee
Hi all! Just wondering what the going rate is for a childminder.. We are in the West of Ireland and chatting to 2 different childminders today for our 1 year old. One lady wants to mind her in her own house and the other lady will come to ours. Our little girl will be the only child being looked after. I suppose I'm hoping to agree on a daily rate rather than hourly and wondering maybe what people in similar situations are paying? Obviously we would prefer a subsidised creche or childminder who minds afew kids to keep the cost down but there is no availability.. Any advice would be so appreciated!

@Melissa O Shaughnessy Thanks for your reply Melissa! And is there other kids being minding with your little one? Would love to suggest 35e /day but I think my childminder will be looking for more!
Yes she looks after two other kids but that’s seems to be the going rate. I was paying 50 a day for two boys prior to my one year going. I provide nappies and everything and it’s from the hours of 8-6pm.
