Silly question but are we allowed to have prawn cocktail flavoured crisps?

Just asking because I know we're not allowed to have shellfish and I'm sure that flavouring is different but just wanted to check.

Go on the foods to avoid in pregnancy NHS page, refer to that and that only. There’s barely anything you actually should avoid. You absolutely can eat shellfish, so of course you can eat crisps which don’t even contain any shellfish! https://www.nhs.uk/pregnancy/keeping-well/foods-to-avoid/

You can eat cooked shellfish. Crisps will be fine

You can eat shellfish! Even if you couldn’t, most of those crisps are just flavouring. As Lisa says, just follow the NHS guidance. The list of things to avoid is pretty short.

I’m sure prawn cocktail crisps don’t even contain prawns, it’s just the sauce flavourings. You can eat prawns anyway just not raw ones x

I always have prawns! They’re fine xx

There really isn’t that many things that you can’t have during pregnancy. Just go with what the NHS advice is.

I'm not an expert but I highly doubt a prawn cocktail flavoured crisp has ever been anywhere near an actual prawn! Also, now I'm craving them! 🤣

They're my absolute craving at the moment, and prawn cocktail sandwiches 😅 I'm obsessed

I’m allergic to shellfish and I can have prawn cocktail crisps as it’s just flavouring! Should be fine 😊

I’ve been eating them like no tomorrow and there’s no issues if it’s any help 🤣

I hope so because I cannot stop eating them! Demolished a whole tub of prawn cocktail Pringles earlier 🙈

Thanks so much girls! Really appreciate the reassurance ❤️
