Showering with baby?

My girl is 6 weeks now and we barely bath her because she always showers with us. It’s so calming and you get your skin to skin at the same time 🥹

I have and my baby loves it, she’s a water baby though and loves both. Always safer to do when someone else is home though so they can pass baby in and out but in saying that I have done it alone and just sat down in the shower just incase

Yes! We have done it since week 2 and she loves it! Just be mindful that they can get quite slippery

I put our 6 week old in the shower with my husband most of the time because it’s warmer in our ensuite. She loves the shower more than the bath but I give her a bath when I’m home alone because it is easier.

We shower with her...she hates the bath but always falls asleep in the shower

Hey, my husband showers with my little one. It really freaked me out initially but she likes it way more than the bath. We lay a towel out ready to go once he’s done, and he maintains the same hold on her the whole time to reduce the opportunity of her slipping around. If she didn’t like it we wouldn’t do it bc I don’t want to risk her flailing around in his arms. Do what works best for your situation :)

We shower with our girl too but only when partner is home, I have done it twice on my own and it’s to hard, I stay wet while I dry my girl off and get her sorted. So when partner is home we will shower other wise I bath her when I’m on my own. When I need a shower I normally do it when she is sleeping. Or I have her in the pram in the bathroom with me. She is nearly 7 weeks old.

My husband takes our baby in the shower tbh I hate it but it’s quick and easy some days instead of giving him a bath x

Yes absolutely and she loves it over the bath. They do get slippery though. Make sure you have what is needed ready for when you get out.

Thanks guys! Sounds like I’m better to try it for the first couple of times when my partner is home just incase but I’ll definitely give it a go x

My 5 week old loathes the bath, however shower has been far more successful. I haven’t had to do it alone yet so I’m not sure but if a shower works for bubs, go for it. Maybe if you have a bath support seat you could use that for when you’re flying solo? You can pick one up off of marketplace for next to nothing :)
