Raspberry leaf tea from 36 weeks. No castor oil it will just distress baby and can put you in early labour which is so dangerous
Drinking Castor oil is some thing that my stripper friend used to do before competitions because she would shit her brains out and have an absolutely flat stomach so whatever you do, don't drink the Castor oil
Definitely don’t go near castor oil! Raspberry leaf tea is a uterine tonic, so tones muscles. It doesn’t bring on labour as many people think.
Don’t take castor oil! It’ll put your digestive system in distress which will cause more pain. You should be able to drink raspberry tea leaf stating at 36 weeks
As mentioned don’t drink castor oil: can cause dangerous complications for bubs as they can poop in the amniotic fluid. Raspberry leaf tea I think you can drink from 36wks.
Leave the castor oil in the store. Raspberry leaf tea isn’t an inducer, it causes very very mild contractions which just gently help to tone your uterus. It doesn’t cause labour, but the strengthening of the uterus could help it birth faster and better. The best thing for an ‘easy’ labour is to stay calm, relaxed, let your body do it’s thing and stay in active birthing positions (standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, all fours) rather than lying on your back on the bed as those positions can give your pelvis up to 30% more space than if you’re on your back.
@Sharnee omg bubs is his nickname lmao
@Sarah pretty sure that 90% of the women that I know that have had children have not had the privilege of having a calm or relaxed experience. In fact, just a hospital setting alone puts most people on edge.. There are many ways that you can prepare your body for labor and a lot of them have to do with activity. sex being one of them. It's also been said that semen helps prime the cervix but I'm not sure about the science there.. worth googling lol & Since the original post was asking about having an easy labor.. yes go for the raspberry leaf tea unless your doctor tells you otherwise. No, it won't bring labor on but yes, it will support your bodies readiness for labor. I would also cut dairy out of your diet If you're planning to breast-feed. a lot of babies are allergic to the dairy protein and it takes like six weeks for it to leave your breastmilk. My son had bad reflux wasn't putting on weight and it was all because of the dairy in my breastmilk.
Red raspberry leaf tea is safe to drink your entire pregnancy (it doesn’t induce labor) and has great benefits even post baby, I would start doing multiple classes daily at 36. The castor oil you should obviously get your providers opinion on it but if you are going to do it you need to pick the right kind and not take more than 4tbs in 24hrs. Castor oil is more of an induction method but it won’t make you go into labor unless you are already progressing. It needs to be castor oil laxative (the other kind can mess you up) and you need to wait until you are 40+weeks at least. But you need to take it with a protein like peanut butter or an egg so that you don’t just shit yourself all day
Castor oil is a very potent laxative which can distress baby. I would not take it!
