keratosis pilaris

My 2.5 year old has a little bit of keratosis pilaris on the back of her arms! Does anyone have a good/clean ingredient lotion they use for their littles?

KP usually shows up from a gluten sensitivity, you could try to remove gluten and see if it resolves the issue!

@Brianna Thank you! I was wondering about that as well.

I use gold bond bumpy skin lotion. And I clean my arms with an antibacterial soap every day.

I have no ill intentions with my comment but a quick google search you can see that there are no studies supporting that gluten is a tie to KP. However you can try eating foods rich with vitamin A like, fish, carrots, and liver. It can encourage healthier skin growth.

@Sidney i agree! you really can’t find much on google supporting KP & gluten. but google also isn’t always the most reliable😉 i thought this site had some pretty good info. and also talks about vitamin A like you mentioned. everyone is different! removing gluten and supplementing cod liver oil helped mine and my daughters KP, might or might not help everyone else🤍 https://celiaccommunity.org/2016/gluten-keratosis-chicken-skin/
