…I’m sure others are achieving the 5 food groups at every meal however 😅 …I can make them, but not convinced they’d always be eaten 😅
It is super hard including all of the types but I do try to try... haha! He loves his fruit and if I let him, I reckon he'd be able to eat a whole punnet of strawberries! I found out recently he loooooves oatcakes and even though its incredibly dry on their own, that's how he enjoys them lol! A recent snack has been, strawberries, a bit of cheese and an oatcake, 3 types, woo! He loves yoghurt but prefers it plain but its great to give him if he doesn't eat much for his meals. Keeps him full because I'm always worried he will wake up in the middle of the night still hungry. How old is your LO? Also thanks, you've been the first person to comment on Amy of my posts 🥰
Ha, no worries 😉 happy to comment 💕 Interesting about oatcakes as an option. Haven’t tried them with him yet. He’s 9mo. I made fish goujons this evening, with peas, grilled tomatoes and potatoes. We enjoyed it. Baby didn’t 😅 He loves strawberries too tho :) I’ll continue to try!
@Lorraine typical... what do you do when your LO doesn't eat what you make for him? Too bad strawberry season is coming to an end, they definitely aren't as sweet anymore! Good luck, it is pretty stressful when our LOs don't eat what we give them!
It’s not easy to do this in reality - but we can but try :) What they like one day, they may dislike another. I read that full fat Greek yoghurt is a good option and so far that’s going well. I blitz various fruits and mix it in. Then this morning, I have peanut butter on rice cakes - I don’t know if this is ideal, but it was eaten ⭐️ I think it’s an achievement, in reality, to cover all the food groups over the course of the day, rather than all 5 groups at every single meal. Albeit it would be an achievement to include them in every meal, I may need to employ a chef to achieve it 😅💕
