How to tell the difference between pyjamas and day clothes?

I’ve been given a bag of 12-24 month clothes for my LO and I know there is a mix of pj’s and day clothes in it but I don’t know how to tell the difference - any tips or does it not really matter?

I think tops are quite difficult to tell. Bottoms should be a bit more noticeable, so I’d go through the bottoms first, then when u do tops u might find something that matches. Otherwise I don’t think it really matters. I’ve put pjs on wee one as day clothes and people wouldn’t have known. These were summer ones so maybe less noticeable.

If you can’t tell the difference no one else is going to either so I don’t suppose it matters much 😂

@Katie yeah I wasn’t so bothered about wearing pyjamas out - I feel like we’d all like to do that sometimes! 😂 It was more wondering if pyjamas had to have/not have certain features for them to be safe for a full nights sleep

It’s more the texture of the material. If it’s second hand the bottoms are probably a bit more bobbly and soft. Also the neckline of the tops.

Honestly, if an outfit is cute and looks enough like day clothes for you to not be sure, it’s probably good enough for day clothes even if it might not actually be

I noticed with some PJs we had where the bottoms looked like normal leggings, but the difference was there was a U shaped seam at the bum rather than just a straight seam like normal leggings (hope that makes sense!). Agree with others though, just go for whatever you think, if you like them wear them as day clothes!
