We visited Bright Start and Magnolia and are leaning towards Bright Start. Magnolia is very clean, almost too clean IMO (kinda has a sterile institutional feeling to me) but has a really nice private outdoor space and lots of windows. They dont serve food so once your child is old enough you have to pack your own. Bright Start has a lot more clutter that feels normal for kids spaces to me, and they have an indoor playroom and then do daily outdoor walks. Also BS offers a meal plan so once your kids are eating solids you have the option of getting the mealplan. Also BS has PreK and 3K through the DOE, so theres the possibility of staying longer until Kindergarten.
I’ve been looking into daycare in Astoria currently! We visited happy bees which was cute. Tomorrow we are visiting brightstart (the 31st location), and we also plan to check out magnolia and learning experience!
