You name your kid as you like ! Is your kid!!!! And if your husband is also ok with Stephanos, go with that! We are both Greek and we named our daughter with an Ancient Greek name that none of the grandparents have just because we likes it! Remember you will be calling that name for the rest of your life so make sure you like it 😊

I feel you ! I know the tradition us my husband is Greek as well ! You don’t have to push yourself to do it ! You should put to your child the name that you like ! Simple as that 🤗

You can do Savvas as the middle name! My grandpas on my dads side was Savvas too! Lol my brothers middle name is actually Savvas lol

Definitely name him what you want! My husband and I are both Greek and we didn’t follow the tradition☺️

@Alexia haha I would do this but we're using my grandfathers name as the middle name to honor him as he passed away during my pregnancy ♥️ and I would feel really sorry for my son if he had 4 names lol! Not to mention the last name is like 13 characters long already 😂😂

I just wanted to keep their tradition alive because I felt bad that his older brother didn't honor this tradition since he's named after his grandfather I thought he would do the honors. I feel like because I've kind of done everything the greek way rather than my traditional way his parents expected me to do this as well. I just feel like I'm letting them down 🫠😔

Well if you plan on having more babes maybe you can do the next one? I totally understand! We try to stick to traditions but I don’t think we’ll keep the Savvas and pipina names going (my dads parents) 😂😅😅😅 but we did keep the dimitra and yioryos going (my moms parents)

@Alexia haha that was my thoughts exactly 🤭 I like Pipina haha I've never heard of that one! It's more likely the next one, if it's another boy would be Savvas unless his brother decides to do the same 🤷🏻‍♀️

Lol hopefully the brother does it 😂 my brothers name is Phillipas Savvas so it kind of goes well with it and makes it not so bad. I think cuz both end in “as”

@Alexia Phillipas was the other name I loved and got shut down 😭😭 I hope his brother does it to, to relieve me of this whole guilty feeling 😂
