Small rant about kids clothing

So why is it a pair of wellies is £2 more expensive because it has a character on it compared to a plain pair of wellies that are orange and have dinosaur teeth on? 😂 bought my son some wellies today as his rain cover doesn’t cover his feet so had to get something to make his feet somewhat waterproof like why is having George from peppa pig more expensive? LOL. I only got those wellies because it was the only pair that would fit him with some extra room in them.. he isn’t quite walking outside yet but why is character clothing more expensive. I’ve only just noticed and honestly I think it’s a bloodydisgrace 😂😂😂

Because it costs extra for the licensing of the characters image. The company has to pay fees to use another company's intellectual property basically. I know you weren't asking for an answer but that is the reason!

I think a lot of kids clothing is expensive full stop 🤣. My LO is only 8 weeks old at the minute and still fits in all the clothes we already had so have only really needed to buy a coat/pram suit as it’s getting colder and a lot of that stuff was gifted so I’m grateful we haven’t actually had to buy much ourselves yet. It is crazy though, you can buy stuff with pretty much the exact same design minus the character and the difference in prices is ridiculous!!! 🤦🏻‍♀️😅

@Rachel it’s a joke isn’t it? 😂😂 I won’t quite ever understand how companies can sell kids clothing for a certain price and an adults piece of clothing will be the exact same? 😂 like they’re using less material so how’s it the same price? lol primark is my go to for clothing mostly as last time I got a nice outfit which was a red sweatshirt and jogger bottoms they were £2.30 each. But the stuff with characters on is a joke😂 like I do notice most supermarkets selling items without characters which I’m over the moon by as I think it’s quite hard to shop for a little boy. My little one is 17 months and isn’t showing interest in anything at the moment, so I don’t even know if he’ll like peppa pig, paw patrol or any other character stuff they sell for boys. 😂😂

@Crystal oh yes yes I know why it’s more expensive but it’s a bloody joke 😂😂 lol

@Rhiannon yeah it's silly! Especially if you have a kid who loves a certain character, gotta pay the $$ haha

Lol this is why I love charity/thrift stores/ bootsales as its ridiculous 😅 x

@Jo oh I know 😂 I got an adidas zip up hoodie and a football shirt for £3 each 😂😂 and they’re worth around £20 each? lol gotta love the bargains. I haven’t been to a charity shop in a long while though some of the stuff is still in very good condition I was over the moon when I got my little ones football shirt 😂

They know the kids will want the character too!
