Baby Swim Classes Luton

Hey Ladies, Does anyone take their LO’s or know of any decent and affordable baby swim sessions near the Leagrave/Bramingham/Marsh Farm areas (walking distance from LU3 post code). Considering Water Babies but ideally I don’t want to be paying around the £20 mark per session for Water Babies if there’s others teaching the same lessons for less. If you do take your little one to Water Babies, is it worth it? Willing to walk up to 45 mins towards pastures way/tesco Dunstable areas too. Trying to book keep myself and baby busy! Thanks!

Hi hun, we took our daughter to water babies at Keech Hospice. I think it was £15 per session - unfortunately the class she was in wasn’t very small and in order for her to have grasped swimming a lot quicker she definitely required more attention! We eventually took her out and my husband takes her to David Lloyd instead. There are other swimming classes which also take place at Keech Hospice with other swimming schools and I believe are cheaper however I’m not sure how much or what they’re called!

@Amen I’ve been doing loads of research and checking water babies reviews and honestly getting more and more put off 🥲 apparently the cancel sessions quite often too. I’ll look into David Lloyd as her dad has been thinking to join for the gym facilities anyway so that could be convenient. Also will check out the other swim schools at Keech 👍🏽 is it a warm pool?

@Amen thanks for your help xx

I think in our two years of being with them they only ever cancelled the sessions twice and that was due to children have toilet accidents in the pool and they’d always alert us well in advance.. Keech Hospice’s pool was always warm because it’s intent is hydratherapy, everywhere else seems to be cold!! & with David Lloyd you still have to pay for swimming lessons ON TOP of your membership so imo that’s not great😫 my husband is self teaching our daughter now. She got her foundation from water babies and we decided this was better for us. What area do you live in? Maybe consider inspire ? X

Okay twice with good reason isn’t bad at all! And I reaaaally want it to be a warm pool because my LO absolutely loves the water during bath time and I don’t want that to change due to a cold pool and have her upset during the lesson 😭 I’ll defo either find another swim school at the hospice or just go ahead and give water babies a go. You’re right about David Lloyd’s membership prices 😫 I don’t know why he insists that’s the gym for him. I’m near Leagrave Park. The top of Bramingham Road near McDonald’s ..

Hey I’ve taken my girl to water babies and honestly she did love it! But we had to stop going there as it was just too expensive . We was thinking of taking her inspire towards the warmer weather and inspire pool when we last called them said it’s not ideal for my daughters age due to the temperature of the water. But if you do find any let me know, I live near there too ha x

@Shai ah so not far from me. Yeah, I think have a look around but if not water babies is your best bet. Maybe start her and once she’s learnt the basics you can teach her yourself or transfer into a different school? How old is your daughter btw?

Thanks @Amen @Zara defo think water babies is the one! She’s 3 months old!

Aw she’s still so small. Personally I’d hold off with swimming classes right now then. Maybe just take her for fun yourself for now so she can become familiar with the water and when she draws closer to 1 years old then put her in so she can actually learn how to swim. Anytime before that you’re just paying for them to get used to the water and not really do much else. Our water babies sessions only actually started teaching them crucial steps for swimming when they were around 2 years + so I do feel a year of classes went to waste xxx
