Weetabix- Sugar & Salt

I often see weetabix recommended as a breakfast option for babies but it has both added sugar and salt. I know the quantities are very little but I thought no added sugar or salt is advised ..? Is this an exception or am I missing something? I bought shredded wheat instead and plan to dry blend it and give to baby but am I concerned for nothing?? No judgement zone here, please feel free to share your opinion x

Hello mums pls don’t forget meeeeeeeee

We don’t have it for that reason.

We have weetabix and milk for breakfast, he's doesn't have an adults portion, he only has one so that would be 0.8g sugar and 0.05g salt He eats lots fruits and veggies and has a balanced diet. Ultimately nothing is totally perfect!

Honestly my baby has weetabix most mornings she loves it. I Didn’t even question the added salt and sugar x

@Kirsty thank u

@Bee I agree!

@Natalie aside from the added sugar and salt, it boasts having iron and zinc 😊

I stick to blended oats for that reason 😊 Much more goodness too

The nursery has been giving my LB one weetabix with milk - didn’t occur to me to give him cereal 😂 he adores it and I only put fruity additions in it 🤷‍♀️
