Medium steak-toxoplasmosis

Hi guys, can someone please reassure me-I’m 35 weeks pregnant. I’ve just had some medium steak, it was mostly well done with small amounts of pink areas. Just reading about toxoplasmosis and risk to baby and I’m freaking out! Please help 😭

Ah god I had medium steaks throughout - I’d normally have them rare so medium was a compromise for me haha, just couldn’t bring myself to have them well done!

At 35 weeks, there’s very little that can seriously harm your developing baby. The most crucial time is the first trimester. You’re okay, mama! One slightly undercooked steak won’t cause any serious issues!

Food safety standards are so high now it’s very unlikely it has the bacteria in the steak in the first place. Think about whether you’ve ever been ill from eating steak before… probably not?

Medium rare steak is fine, so medium, slightly pink is absolutely fine! As long as the outside is cooked! Don't worry ☺️
