It’ll be fine mixed with milk. I’d be tempted to mix it with some milk first rather than the whole bottle so you know whether he’s taken it all or not
Ha my daughter does the same! Manages to get her tongue behind it to push it back out or turns her head to the side to let it trickle out 🙃 We've had to do it where I hold her my partner gets it into her mouth and then shove her on the boob really quick. Nightmare!!
Try calprofen instead. My first didn't like calpol but was okay with calprofen
@Kate Ah no, I did wonder whether or not he would take it from one of those. I’ll have to try it! Thanks :)
I have to lie my LO down, hand under her neck & lift so her head is slightly tilted back. Use the syringe but a tiny bit at first, she usually starts crying then so as horrible as it is, she swallows it when crying to carry on crying 😭🫣 I wouldn’t put it in a full bottle, maybe just mix with a little bit of milk separate x
@Suzy That’s a good idea actually! Just a smaller amount and then give the rest of his feed?
@Maxine Yep. I even put the syringe fairly far into his mouth and he still manages to not swallow it and let it trickle out! We tried that method last night with his bottle and it still didn’t work😂🙈
@Kayleigh I’ve not actually heard of this! Thank you!
It's a nightmare isn't it. I end up with a sticky boob 😂
@Maxine I bet that feels lovely 🙈😂
My Lo doesn’t take it from the syringe it comes with, I think it’s too big. We use the 5ml syringes we bought for gripe water. Much slower flow and you can control it more. Works for us. We bought a box of 100 sterile disposable ones on Amazon x
Not sure about the bottle but have you tried one of the little white plastic medicine spoons? We recently had to give the little one cough medicine and he took it really well from the spoon x
