Same as above for the first 2 but for hot shot method it’s recommended 10ml of water for each scoop of formula so for a 6oz bottle nothing less than a 2oz hot shot and then the rest cooled water, I do half and half though as my little boy likes milk at room temp and found 2oz cooled water and 4oz hot was a little to warm for his liking but as long as you follow the guidlines of 10ml per scoop it’s safe and the right temp to drink x

@Amelia out of curiosity how is a rapid cool somehow safer than the hotshot?

@Amelia it’s not really any different though… you’re still using boiled water for the hotshot which kills the bacteria just as well as if you filled the bottle and then water that was boiled and then cooled… the amount of boiled water wouldn’t make any difference in killing bacteria… not trying to convince you of switching obviously, you have to do what’s best for you. Just don’t want anyone reading to panic and think they’re doing it the wrong way when really they both work just as well as the other x

Maybe you’re confusing it thinking you’re adding formula to basically room temp water? Idk

@Amelia I’m not sure you’re completely clear on hot shot method 🤔 I add two ounces of 100 degree, boiling hot water to my bottle and mix in the formula. That kills the bacteria in the formula. Then I add the cooler, boiled water. Is it the cooled boiled water you’re worried about? I definitely said keep doing it your way and I definitely didn’t say you purposefully wanted to make anyone feel any certain way. Just trying to clarify. Feels like I’m missing something in this conversation because you’re worried about the water not being hot enough and it’s the exact same temp as the water you’re adding… just less of it…
