Car seats on Ryanair

👋 has anyone travelled on Ryanair with a 1 year old recently? I wish to take my isofix car seat with me on a flight. According to their website bringing a car seat is free along with a buggy. But I’m unsure since my car seat is quite big and heavy - I own a cybex zi with attached base. I can’t take it apart. If anyone travelled with a car seat like this on Ryanair please let me know your experience. Did you take it with you for free?

I don’t mean to take on board with me. My questions is more am I entitled to bring an isofix base car seat when I travel. The website says 2 items of baby equipment free of charge. So I have a small foldable cybex coya and a cybex car seat with isofix base.

Thanks Emily! So I am guessing I can take it with me, I just need to really wrap it up well

You can take any seat you want - you can get good bags for transporting on Amazon! Some have padding but pad it out even more

Hey Geri, I have travelled with a push chair, car seat and nappy changing bag for free. You will have to drop the car seat and push chair to go underneath the airplane, as Emily said try to protect them as in my case I sent them both down without protection and they came very dirty xxx

Ahh - so can you take your usual pram but just package it really well? I was thinking it had to be one that folded small enough for the overhead locker! x
