pregnancy after csection

Has anyone on here had another pregnancy after having a csesction? I am 22 weeks today and my son will be 2 at the end of the month- this pregnancy has been so different and difficult and i'm wondering if things are normal for pregnancy after csection or just because i have a toddler as well🤦‍♀️ my midwives have been quite unhelpful as with any pains and aches i've been getting i just get told to take painkillers (i'd be taking them everyday at this point) and not really answering the questions

Hey lovely I am currently pregnant after a section, what pains are you having? x

@Jessica Hey! so i get headaches nearly everyday (we've checked my blood pressure and it's fine they're not worried about preeclampsia) but also very very achy in my belly but last night and this morning was so bad i couldn't even stand straight- it reminded me of the achy pains after the surgery when the pain was filled by my painkillers if that makes sense. it eased up during the day but has started to ache more again. I feel like i'm full term already🤣🤣

Have you spoken to your GP? Or are you under consultant care this pregnancy? Are the midwives trying to say it’s ligament pain?

@Jessica yeah they just say it's round ligament pain and to take painkillers- i haven't spoke to them yet about the pain today. i know paracetamol is safe for pregnancy but i don't feel right about taking it everyday

I’m 24 weeks with a 16 month old and had a c-section with her! This I’m pregnancy has been so much easier so far, I had a horrendous first pregnancy! I have got more pelvic pain at night this time but other than that I’m feeling quite good! I’d definitely keep pushing the midwives if you think somethings wrong but also every pregnancy is different so this could just be a bad one for you!😩

@Jo I would honestly be asking for a second opinion if you’re frequently taking paracetamol and getting no relief. Have you tried using a support belt? X

Contact your hospital day assessment unit for advice, I went to them after 20 weeks with any concerns mainly because I struggled to get hold of my local midwives. At least at the hospital they can do further tests as needed

Second pregnancy was 10x more uncomfortable and painful. Everyone warned me that subsequent pregnancies get worse!
