Google photos (and probably apple's version too, if you use them), are as secure as you get. Honestly the biggest concern for me is other people sharing them on their social media. So I give access to the family members I know won't do that, and everyone else gets hard copies, nothing digital. Sending photos through text messaging is about the same level of security. Nothing is truly secure from hackers, so i'm just cautious about not sharing through any apps. When I take pictures with my phone it's automatically uploaded to Photos, and i can link them if I want someone to see them, or send through text message. No need to share it anywhere.
My family and i use Aura. It’s great and you can add as many people as you want. Everyone can share their photo’s and you can all leave likes and comments if you want.
We use Family Album too. I like that if u send the link by email they don't have to download the app and can view by logging in. You can check when people last viewed and can turn off access. You can share photos to family or just to admin. Me and hubby are admin so some photo we've kept for just us. During milestones it does mini clips of past photos which is lovely to see ur child growing up. People can comment on photos. I'm assuming they can download them but not sure. It has the option to buy photo print, albums, etc but I've not done that. If u print a book I think u can include the comments also. You can also link it to ur phone so when ur phone is charging it cycles thru photos. That's lovely esp when old baby ones appear (my child is now 2.5yrs).
I’ve found family album, members can’t download but can still screenshot
Family album! They can only access it with a link that you send through text. It sorts the photos into months and will notify everytime there’s a photo uploaded or someone comments on a photo
