SMA soya formula

Everywhere is out of stock so I imagine there's stock issues and so they can't produce it currently there's bound to be an alternative though

Omg please don’t scare me! We’re not done weaning, need more. Online here says it’s WSOYA instead of SOYA, and the packaging looks different. Is it the same?

Ok, I can’t find it anywhere, not a single shop has it anymore. And even the pharmacy link is broken, probably not available anymore and is just showing the old stock. It says the WSOY name is discontinued since 2022. I don’t have enough to last even a week, was supposed to do the shop tomorrow again!

@Agne it may be worth finding an alternative or committing to full weaning off if it if you can

Apparently it is because of health concerns because manufacturers might be using GMO soya or it might have some other health concerns in the UK

@Viktorija could you use the ready made version? As that seems to be the only alternative in the UK unless you swap to a cmpa formula only issue with them is they're expensive to purchase

I'll probably just use another formula. There's only 2 months left until he'll have to be weaned off it because he's two months premature

@Viktorija AHH okay makes sense! While you still have some of the soya left maybe grab some cows milk one and do a mix of the two and gradually wean down the soya and up the cows milk one to make the transition smoother unless lo will happily take the cows milk one xx

Nah we don't have any more of the soya. We thought that this morning we'll find some when we were on our last bottle. I still need to convince my husband about giving him cow's milk because he still thinks it's a scam haha

Sadly my baby has milk allergy so can’t really give her any old formula or wean her onto the cows milk. I saw a soy growing up milk by alpro, will start putting her on that as of tomorrow. I guess it’s not that big of a deal, she’s 2 weeks away from her first birthday, but still, a bit of a shock more than anything!

@Viktorija why a scam? To be honest my son's allergic to milk so has to have soya milk as his milk now, but you could try a normal formula or a goat based one x

@Agne we made the transition to soya milk a few weeks ago by swapping his middle of the day bottle to it so he got used to the taste and then dropped it out completely and then replaced his morning one with soya with no issues and then the same this week with the bed time one he's 1 on Monday so saw no harm in starting a couple weeks earlier as we are no longer entitled to his prescription milk from Monday anyway xxx
