We’ve brought some airtight bags for clothes x
Yup exactly the same position and situation. Small 2 bed here with only a loft for storage. Mine are 21 months apart as always wanted them close but wouldnt have mattered storage wise. For our first when outgrown we have Stored n2m, space saver cot, bouncer, jumperoo, walker, baby bath bits, travelcot, multiple bags/boxes of clothes. All ready for our 5 month old to use (obviously already using the baby bath and n2m). We only got rid of the moses basket due to being big and bulky and just picked up another one when needed off FB. I did buy new bottles as we FF and my others were a bit worn/scratched. Also we were still using our pram but stored the carry cot in a box in the loft. Would have stored and reused the carseat too but it broke after we finished with it. However we decided to get a Double pram of FB anyway. Luckily we have 2 girls so have been able to reuse all of it but we are done at two children so will now sell on once no longer needed and will be glad to have the storage space back haha.
We stored everything up in the loft between babies. Making sure it was clean as much as we could before. We brought some bags from IKEA (DIMPA) for clothes and the pushchair seat and boxed up other bits, like steriliser, breast pump etc. Make sure you label everything and pack similar bits together (maybe it's just my husband who can't find stuff, when I was heavily pregnant unable to go up into the loft 🤦♀️)
We saved all our eldests bits like Moses basket, snuzpod, travel system, baby bath etc all in the loft in big ikea duvet bags. We said that if we got pregnant by the time eldests was 5 then great (wasn’t really planning) but if she got to 5 and no sign of a baby then we would sell it all. Was fantastic having it all when I found out I was pregnant as not had to spend much at all. Just needed a high chair and little bits and pieces.
I bought some vacuum pack bags for clothes. And buggy / car seat / Moses I put inside black bags and tied them. All ok 18 months later x
With our first i boxed up freshly washed and dried clothes into cardboard boxes, labeled newborn,0-3, 3-6m etc. They were fine stored in the loft. Prams and other bits have been more difficult. I have a pushchair in the loft that I've noticed the cover has gone a bit mouldy but I don't think I cleaned it properly before my husband put it up there. As long as it is clean and dry before you store it, and you use a breathable dust sheet or something, things should be fine. Our daughter moses basket became a toy basket and even a ball pool for a little while before it got too tatty. We kept the cot mattress under her toddlers bed covered in a sheet to keep the dust off. The baby bath was used as a storage box for odd bits and pieces in the wardrobe. Unfortunately I haven't been as organised with baby no2 and everything is an absolute mess this time round. Just a big pile of boxes and bags in the spare room which is supposed to be our son's bedroom.
