How did you feel before giving birth spontaneously?

Hey mummas can you all share your symptoms and feelings before you spontaneously gave birth? Curious because i feel like i could go in any day now but I'm only 37 weeks. Did your waters break? Did you have a gut feeling? What were your contractions like at first? Please tell me everything 🙏🏼🙏🏼🥰 Bonus if you gave birth to a large baby because I'm expecting a big bubba again (my first was almost 5kg and I had an emergency c after failed induction 🥲)

My water didn't break and I didn't lost my mucus plug. I also didn't have a gut feeling. I started getting cramp that felt like "I gotta crap but can't" 😂 and just randomly on the Saturday am. Then by Sunday am I realized they were contractions as I was able to start timing them. I always wondered how I would know, my ob said oh you will just know. And I definitely knew.

Ngl I was super horny. Started having contractions which weren’t strong at all and my waters broke about 2 hrs after contractions started

I gave birth at 39+3. Totally didn't expect it, I thought I would go over. Had no incline that I would go into labour at all. I woke up at 6am on the morning to my waters breaking in bed, ran to the toilet as wasn't sure if I'd just weed myself. By 6.30, my contractions started. Our hospital was a hour away, we set off around 7.30 and my contractions were every 3 minutes apart. This is my 3rd baby though. I was in labour from waters breaking 6hrs and 3minutes but active labour for 18 minutes. Everyone is different. Xx

I lost my mucus plug late at night, then a few hours later I woke up from the early contractions starting. I never had braxton hicks so I knew as soon as I started feeling the cramps it was starting. It felt like a tight period cramp that lasted 30 seconds maybe. Once real active labor began it felt different, more pain and pressure in my lower back and hips. Also it began snowing that night for the first time of the season, and I had had a feeling in the weeks leading up to her birth that she’d be born when it snowed.

Lost my mucus plug at 5am, then got period like cramps, nothing bad, by midday they was getting stronger and more regular, went for a walk, then they was coming like every 2 and half mins, went to hospital about 4 and had her at 22.24 x

I had a gut feeling and I was spotting. 1-1.5 days before. It took three visits to triage for them to believe me/admit me. On the third visit I was having contractions at home and my husband called the OB to make sure we should go in instead of wasting a trip

In the daytime I felt like he was moving in a way he hadn't before. I even told my fam that I felt like he was repositioning getting ready to come out even though it was a week early! That evening I lost my mucus plug just before bed. I then woke with contractions at 3am in the morning! They were painful so no mistaking them!

I was feeling that I was never going to go into labour after a week or so of being dilated 2cm, losing my mucus plug, and having on and off contractions. It was a bit of a tease! Then I had a membrane sweep morning of 40+1 and then at midnight that night, BOOM straight into active labour, contractions every 5 minutes lasting 2 minutes 😆 I still didn't fully believe it was real until going to the hospital and getting admitted at 4cm! And now he's here 🥰💙

The night before my water broke I couldn't sleep and I was very emotional. My husband woke up and asked what was wrong and I said "I hope our son comes" he asked what I meant and I said "idk I think im just tired and I can't sleep and I'm so uncomfortable" literally 6 hours later my water broke. I didn't have any contractions before it broke either. I was only .5 cm dilated when I was admitted to the hospital for a ruptured membrane, after 35 hours I was sent for a C-section because we were stalled at 4cm for the last 10 hours and his heart rate kept dropping during every contraction I had

I got up the day before and went to work like any other day. I did get a surge of energy a couple days before. I cleaned and rearranged my entire lab area and work office two days prior. I felt normal that Friday leaving work. Told everyone I'd see them on Monday. I went to bed a little early Friday night. Woke up at 12:30pm and my water had broken. Didn't really feel any contractions before hand. Nothing more than what I had been prior. Like Braxton Hicks.
