How long does average highlights take?

I'm in the hair salon and I'm basically gonna be in here for 6 hours total. Is that normal? I am new to getting my hair done like this

Depending on hair length and if it's full head or not sounds about right

Depends on how much hair you have. I have very thick hair to my hips so mine probably would take that length of time x

When I used to do my hair, my color never took in the color, so had to do the process longer. Used to be at the salon 8-10 hours.
