Should just be a phase! It is very early to stop napping… Hope it returns soon for you! X
Yeah it’s a regression. My son did the same thing
@Nattinan yep you’re right, I think the more I think about it and focus so much on him having a nap, the more he doesn’t 😩 thanks for the advice, so helpful to know x
@Maria my son is the same age as yours, his nap routine is currently changing as well, he’d either do a long morning nap (about 1.5 - 2 hrs) or two naps, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, each being about 45mins- 1 hour long, which is similar of what my daughter went through - there was a bit of regression as well where he refused to nap but will want to nap way later in the afternoon (after 4pm) sometimes I let him but I’d wake him up a little after 5 for dinner but I only do it if it’s a weekend because his bedtime would’ve been 10-11pm 😅😂 but yes, as long as he’s fine, skipping naps every now and then isn’t something to worry about, continue the day as you normally would, what you want is a happy baby and a good-night sleeper 🙂 you can introduce a quiet time in place of the time that he would normally nap where he plays by himself - I found it was good for my daughter so I’m doing the same for my son now xxx
Could be a sleep regression, but also from this age onwards it’s a really weird toddler phase where they can do a whole day without napping or do a small nap after lunch, but has to be very careful with how long that nap is, as if it’s too long, you’ll be looking at a bedtime around 9pm onwards, but if they don’t nap, then they’ll want to go to bed before 6pm 😂 my daughter was like this and now she’s almost three, she doesn’t nap anymore and can sleep through the whole night 🙂 I never force her to nap, only if she wants to, and if she does, I would make sure it happens by 2pm because any later then I’d be dealing with a 10pm-midnight bedtime which is not, at all, ideal 😅😆 just treat her like another human, only little, no one can fall asleep if they’re not tired, right?
