Putting baby to sleep

I have a 10 month old and ever since the 4 month regression it’s a fight to get him to nap on almost a daily basis. He doesn’t have much of a routine when it comes to naps because we’re out and about the majority of the time and I don’t want to plan my life around his naps. If he’s in the car he’ll fall asleep no problem but at home 99% of the time he screams, cry’s, kicks, flails his arms about. Now he’s getting bigger and stronger it’s a lot harder to try keep him in one position. My partner puts him to bed in an evening most nights as he doesn’t see him during the day with work, but I’m just finding day time naps a nightmare and it’s getting me down. He’s clearly miserable and it’s making me miserable 🥱 we roughly follow wake windows and sleep cues but he’s never really shown tired signs other than when he’s over tired. His wake windows can range from 2-5 hours so they’re also really hard to follow. Any tips??? I just want to enjoy the last few weeks being off work with him 🥹 Most people dread their baby dropping naps but I can’t bloody wait for the day 🤣

how many naps is he at? i follow baby—any signs of hyperactivity for my LO is a sign of sleepiness. he’s 9 months and at 2 naps a day, typically sleeping around 10am & then 2pm (so about 4-5hr wake window). ik with him, when he was getting really fussy with naps, we ended up actually dropping a nap to help (more like he did to himself).

@Erin he only naps for around 30 minutes at a time so he’s generally having about 3/4 naps a day😫
