@Kathy thank you🥰 how about employers who act upset when you tell them especially seeing you just got back from maternity leave . What is the best way to work around that
I mean I told my boss the day after I found out but that’s the relationship we have I’m also high risk so I had no choice really
Eh. People can be upset. It's not your job to hold their hand and walk them through their emotions. They can put on their big boy pants and handle it. Big bosses get paid the big money. So they'll just have to deal!
@Clare so I could wait till about 15weeks before telling my boss ?
@Kathy you have a point and their are rules that protects pregnant women from discrimination right
Hundred percent. Don't let someone else's opinion of your pregnancy affect how exciting this is in your journey of growing your family. 🥰
@Kathy I need the cheer . Thank you , I do feel better x
First of all, congratulations!!! Second of all, pregnancy is a protected class. You really don't have to tell anyone anything unless you want to. I personally only did once my doctor's appointments started ramping up. That was about Week 17 for me since I was a high risk pregnancy. Otherwise if it were a typical non-high risk pregnancy, I'd keep it to myself as long as I could.
