Have you read all those? Have a top fave? I just started Cribsheet.

Following for recommendations 🤗

How to talk so little kids will listen has literally changed my parenting

I liked Hunt Gather Parent

Currently reading Tiny Humans, Big Emotions and really liking it so far.

I enjoyed Good Inside by Becky Kennedy. For both parent and child

And I didn't much care for The Happiest Toddler on the Block by Harvey Karp. It just seemed like it only dealt with things at a surface level and not any deeper

@Kacy my favorite so far has been the whole brain child. It really digs deep physiologically and helps you learn what your child can understand

Following for recommendations!

⁃ “Discipline without damage: how to get your kids to behave without messing them up” ⁃ “The childhood roots of adult happiness” ⁃ “How to be a happier parent” ⁃ “How to stop losing your sh*y with your kids” by Carla Naumburg PHD ⁃ “The smartest kids in the world, and how they got that way” by Amanda Ripley

@Julie oh my goodness this is super helpful thank you!! Is there any that is your current favorite?

@Amanda I haven’t even begun to scratch the surface. 😂 these are on my parental book reading list, but I’m currently reading “Discipline without damage” (which is on the list) and it’s really good. Talks about how important it is for your child’s brain development to have a strong secure connection first before discipling them and the power of connection to a primary caregiver and how that connection will later set them up as adults.

@Julie I love that!! I would love to form a mini book club on your next read if you’re interested! It’s so hard these days to find moms or even any parents interested enough to read these types of books

@Amanda I’d join that book club with you too!

@Melissa Let’s do it! How should we start?

@Amanda @Alexandra @Julie Yay! I’m so grateful others want to read these books. What should we start with? I’m up for anything.
