Baby hit head

My boy fell over and hit his forehead on a corner of the wall, it’s swelled up very fast and bruised straight away is this a cause for concern? He did cry for ages but seems okay now

He should be ok. It’s normal for an egg to appear quickly but otherwise he sounds fine and bump doesn’t look too bad x

I saw someone on here previously say that if a child hits their head and a bump appears straight away that’s usually a good indication as nothing is “trapped” if that makes sense. Don’t hold me on it as I’m not a medical professional but it’s good it’s come up as quick as it did, hope little man is ok xx

I would say take him to the doctors to have a quick look over just to be safe. I hope he's ok x

This has happened to my 17 month old I took him to his pediatrician the same day. They said he was fine. They told me to just keep a close eye on him for about two days to make sure he wasn't acting different, eating different or extra sleepy. They told me if I seen anything abnormal to go to the emergency room. He was in fact okay 🩵

It is always safest to take your kiddo to the doctor if they hit their head, they will always check for concussion or any other injuries. Better safe than sorry.
