Prenatals

My husband and I are probably going to start trying for baby #2 in November/December. How soon have you all started taking prenatals before trying to conceive?

I use Perelel. They have conception vitamins and trimester vitamins. I have never gotten pregnant easier and felt better throughout a whole pregnancy before. We just had our second

I'm still taking post natal vitamins! I found them on ritual. If you're not breastfeeding anymore, I would probably start now honestly. Just to get into the habit (if you're forgetful)

Postnatal and prenatal vitamins are pretty similar. With my first pregnancy , I started taking prenatal ass soon as we started trying to conceive

As Got pregnant 5.5 months after we started trying to conceive

Everything I read said folate is the most important to be taking prior to getting pregnant. This is because a lot of neural tube (spine/brain) development is done within early weeks of pregnancy (3-4 wks) and folate is so important in preventing any tubal defects. Since most women don’t know they are pregnant yet, it’s suggested to take folate/folic acid 3-4 months before starting to get pregnant. You can just take the 400mcg of folate daily or just start with a quality prenatal.

I agree on folate being super important! Folate is better than folic acid. Although both are B9, folate is the natural version, and folic acid is the synthetic version. Your body processes folate more easily.
