Have you tried using a support belt? I've found that it makes a huge difference. I'm still running at 32 weeks but getting slower all of the time and my runs are also getting shorter. 2 or 3 times per week is more than enough now - pre pregnancy I would have been running 4 or 5 days per week. The journey has not been entirely linear so far - I've had good weeks and bad weeks. I was generally at my most active during the second trimester (ran a marathon, a half marathon and several shorter races) but I also almost quit at 18 weeks when I started getting some pelvic pain. That went away again with some rest and introducing the support belt. I'm not sure how much longer I'll keep running for but will take each week as it comes.
I think you should do whatever feels right for your body
Definitely will still be walking, especially as I have a very active dog! I was down to max twice/week capping each run at most 5k. The heat and humidity hasn't been much help either š and it's definitely been more of a run walk since maybe 18 weeks. I haven't found the support belt to be of much help just in day to day but haven't tried it with running - feels awkward and unnecessarily warm to begin with. I'll give it a shot! I definitely want to come out the other end strong and back at it quickly but I guess we will never know
I decided to stop running at 27 weeks. It was a run walk by that point anyway. Especially with the heat I just found it a bit too much. Listen to your body.
Iām running at 25weeks, only 5km a week now I used to run 3times a week and more millage but happy just to keep going. I found some adidas maternity running shorts which help but do occasionally get pressure in the pelvis. Well done for make it to 29wks!
I mean, you could always power walk! Still very beneficial for baby!
