Too much gripe water / overdose?

On the instructions it says to give baby 5ml, which I’ve given twice today. The health visitor said to use the syringe from my liquid paracetamol / calpol to administer it, which I did. But it seemed like an awful lot in the syringe (pretty much a full syringe). I’ve just read 5ml is a teaspoon, which it definitely looked more than that. Now I’m really worried that I’ve given my baby far too much gripe water and don’t know what to do and if that’s dangerous? She has been unsettled and fussy all day before the gripe water, so it’s difficult to say if it has changed anything in her. This is the first time I’ve given my baby gripe water.

5ml is the full calpol syringe. I think the syringe is deceiving a looks more l than it is so will be about a teaspoon. Sounds like you have given the correct dose x

A phew. That’s good to know. But crazy that a full syringe is a teaspoon. Very deceptive!

I also thought this, so I only gave the baby 2ml. What sort of giant teaspoons do this company have in their break room
